We are a growing Club operating outside of school hours in the state of Maryland. We serve the most at-risk students in the region. Our vision is to provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors.
BGCWC recently reviewed the challenges our Club faces, and the needs we must fulfill, in order to provide the best support to local youth and teens who need us most. As a result, we recognize that we must urgently address our property challenges and replace outdated facilities as well as modernize and expand our services and programs.
After years of repairs, a new facility is urgently needed to create a safe and sustainable Club that our kids deserve. In 2018, we began assessing potential properties for a new Club and realized our existing Club is unsafe and insufficient.
An adjacent property gifted to us will allow us to expand the footprint where our Clubhouse currently stands.
Empower Futures
We can now invest in the futures of our youth, instead of throwing money into makeshift/temporary building
repairs.
Double Youth Served
A new Penn Ave Club allows us to increase participation by 100-250 more members. Doubling the number
of youth served at our Club.
Prioritize Teens
We are the community leader in serving Washington County's teens. Our Club is often the only safe place
for teens to go.
Enhance Experiences
Develop new innovative Club
curriculum geared towards college, career advancement, and trade and military opportunities.
Our 100-year-old Club's physical conditions are consistently declining, and our programs are being forced into closer quarters. Despite our best efforts, our reach and impact are affected by facility challenges.
We invite you to give our deserving Club kids a space where they can feel safe and flourish, now.
